Nitin Nayar

Nitin has over 20 years of investment advisory experience, of which he spent 14 years at the India affiliate of US-based global investment firm Warburg Pincus LLC. While at Warburg Pincus, he spent six years as a Managing Director, where he spearheaded the company’s investment advisory activities in the technology sector in India. In his role as Managing Director, Nitin evaluated close to 300 opportunities in technology and tech-enabled businesses including internet and e-commerce, software and IT services, payments, logistics, education and health. He advised on investments of over $200 mn in three notable internet and software businesses: CarTrade, Capillary Technologies and Quikr.

Nitin graduated with an AB from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Sumit Sinha

Sumit has over 17 years of investment advisory experience primarily focused on the technology sector in India. Before partnering with Nitin to launch Filter Capital, Sumit led the technology investment practice at Multiples Alternate Asset Management, where he oversaw investments in Dream11, PeopleStrong and Quantiphi. Prior to that, he spent 5 years with the India affiliate of US-based global investment firm Warburg Pincus LLC, where he worked alongside Nitin on the firm’s growth-stage technology practice in India including advising on its investments in CarTrade, Capillary Technologies and Quikr. He was also employed with the technology investment teams at Permira in London and Temasek Holdings in India. He started his career at McKinsey & Co. in India and Hong Kong.

Sumit graduated with a BTech from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and completed his MBA at The Wharton School, graduating with Honors.

Zareer Shroff

Zareer joined Filter Capital in May 2023. He brings over 12 years of experience as an early and growth stage technology investor in India. Prior to joining Filter Capital, he was a Principal at the India office of the global VC firm Mayfield. During his 9 years at Mayfield India, Zareer evaluated opportunities across financial services, edtech, consumer tech, logistics and SaaS verticals. His key portfolio relationships at Mayfield India included Amagi, Simplilearn, Matrimony.com, LEAP India and M1xchange amongst others. Prior to Mayfield India, Zareer was an investment analyst at GenNext Ventures, the venture capital arm of Reliance Industries Ltd.

Zareer received his Master’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai, and is a Chartered Accountant.

Ritika Goyal

Ritika joined Filter Capital in October 2023. She brings 10 years of professional experience across technology investing, strategy consulting and operations. Prior to joining Filter Capital, she was Senior Director, M&A and Strategy at HighRadius, a global SaaS leader in the Office of CFO domain, where she led sourcing, deal evaluation and other strategic growth initiatives. Prior to HighRadius, Ritika was a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group where she focused on IT services, fintech and financial services. She was also a venture investor at Matrix Partners and a strategy consultant at EY-Parthenon. Ritika started her career as an engineer at Hindustan Unilever Limited.

Ritika graduated with a dual degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and completed her MBA with distinction from INSEAD.

Praveen Yelchuru

Praveen joined Filter Capital in January 2025. Prior to joining Filter Capital, he held finance roles at Trayi Venture and Ventureast, where he focused on fund raising, investor relations, finance and compliance. Praveen has also held managerial positions at PwC and Grant Thornton in Australia and India, where he specialized in financial due diligence.

Praveen is a recognized Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary.

Harsh Mehta

Harsh joined Filter Capital in December 2021. Prior to joining Filter Capital, he worked with Kotak Investment Bank for over three years. While at Kotak Investment Bank, Harsh was involved in advisory and capital market transactions across sectors such as consumer, healthcare and industrials.

Harsh graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in commerce from St. Xavier’s College and completed his MBA from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta.

Pratham Kalra

Pratham joined Filter Capital in June, 2024. Prior to joining Filter Capital, Pratham was a management consultant at LEK Consulting for two years. Pratham has received his Bachelors degree in Commerce with Honors from Shri Ram College of Commerce.

Rysha Mutreja

Rysha joined Filter Capital in October 2023. Prior to joining Filter Capital, she worked with A91 Partners as an Executive Assistant where she managed schedules for all executives, organised events, worked collaboratively with HR on recruitment projects and managed office logistics. Prior to joining A91, Rysha served as Cabin Crew at Indigo Airlines for over 5 years.

Rysha has a Bachelors degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai.
